I have been taking lessons with Tim for over 2 years now, he is a great teacher! Before I started taking lessons with Tim I was with another teacher. A friend of mine was taking lessons with Tim and after 2 months she was playing songs that I wanted to learn. All I knew after 1 year with this other teacher were a few notes on the high E string and a few notes on the B string. That’s when I made the switch to Tim. I learned more in the first lesson with Tim than I did in a year with the other teacher. Now I’m playing the music that I want. I wish I would have started with Tim.

Tim really does teach you what you want. I have had teachers in the past go from one book to another, and all I really got from that was how to play mary had a little lamb on one string. Now that I’m with Tim I’m learning Jimi Hendrix, ACDC, Joe Satriani and other great guitarist. You can’t go wrong with this guy!

Tim really focuses on your wants and needs on the guitar and nothing more. He doesn’t string you along with unwanted material just to give you any old thing to work on.(Like some teachers do). Like he told me once if you’re not having fun, I’m not having fun, if you’re not happy, I’m not happy. And he really does mean that. He’s AWESOME!!!!

If you’re looking for a great teacher with a great personality, always has a positive attitude towards your playing, then you’ve come to the right place. I have learned alot since I started lessons with Tim, and have much more to learn. With Tim’s positive attitude, I feel like I can play the way I always wanted to. I always leave with a smile. I’m going to switch to a one hour lesson soon!!

I gave many things a try, from internet tabs to guitar programs. I learned some chords and a few scales. Some of the chords never really did come through very well, and I didn’t know what else to do with the scales but go up and down. Some of the songs I learned didn’t sound that bad, but some were not even close. Next I thought I would give a real teacher a try. By the end of my first lesson I was playing much better. Tim pointed out some of the problems with my techniques, now I can play chords I was having problems with. He also showed me some lead techniques and some riffs that I can apply to the scales. One of the songs I learned from the internet tabs that sounded good was back in black, I played it for Tim, he said try it this way, now it sounds even better, if I can just get it up to speed. To sum it up, if you want to be a better guitar player, find a great teacher like I did.
